[Project]: SINETIC

Titre complet :  Système Intégré Numérique pour les Transports Intelligents Coopératifs

Synopsis : 

Les systèmes de transport intelligents coopératifs (C-ITS) permettent l’échange de données entre les véhicules de toutes catégories, l’infrastructure routière, les systèmes nomades et les centres de contrôles et autres infrastructures de fournisseurs de services afin de rendre la mobilité des personnes et des marchandises plus sure, plus efficace, plus confortable, et plus éco-responsable. La figure ci-dessous représente les ITS Coopératifs comme un système global.

Le projet SINETIC se propose de mettre en place un environnement de simulation complet pour la conception des systèmes de transports intelligents coopératifs avec deux niveaux de granularité :

  • Le niveau système intégrant toutes les composantes du système (véhicules, infrastructure, centres de gestion, etc..) et ses réalités (terrain, trafic etc.).
  • Le niveau sous-système ou composant modélise de façon fine les caractéristiques et les comportements des différents composants (véhicules, capteurs, systèmes de communication et de localisation etc.) sur des étendues géographiques limitées mais décrites avec détail.

Le rôle du CAOR : modélisation d’une tâche de conduite dans le cadre de l’utilisation d’un véhicule autonome par expérimentation en réalité virtuelle.

Synopsis: The main objective of this research project is to apply hyperspectral imaging techniques for the precise

localization of malignant tumours during surgical procedures. For this purpose, we will develop an experimental

intraoperative setup based on non-invasive hyperspectral cameras connected to a platform running a set of

algorithms capable of discriminating between healthy or pathological tissues. This information will be given to

the surgical team by the means found to be most suitable for the purpose of detecting and removing the

pathological tissues.

Role of Robotics Lab: ARMINES will lead the work package related with the algorithms that will determine the presence or absence of cancer, by applying to hyperspectral images adequate pattern recognition, classification and segmentation techniques.

[Project]: i-Treasures

Full title: Intangible Treasures – Capturing the Intangible Cultural Heritage and Learning the Rare Know-How of Living Human Treasures

Duration: 48 months, started on February 1st 2013, end planned on January 31 janvier 2017

Type of project: FP7 (IP du programme ‘ICT for Access to Cultural Resources’)

Partners:

Synopsis: The main objective of i-Treasures is to develop an open and extendable platform to provide access to ICH resources, enable knowledge exchange between researchers and contribute to the transmission of rare know-how from Living Human Treasures to apprentices. To this end, the project aims to go beyond the mere digitization of cultural content. Its main contribution is the creation of new knowledge by proposing novel methodologies and new technological paradigms for the analysis and modeling of ICH. One of the main objectives of the proposal is the development of an appropriate methodology based on multisensory technology for the creation of information (intangible treasures) that has never been analyzed or studied before.

[Project]: SPEEDCAM

Full title: SPEED limit determination using CAmera and Maps

Duration: from Oct 1 2009 till Sept. 30 2012

Type of project: ANR VTT 2008

Synopsis: The scientific issue addressed in this project was the real time reliable determination of the current road speed limitation. Our approach is based on the fusion between an image processing system for detection and recognition of traffic signs and a GIS (geographic information system) also called the navigation system.

Full title:  TRAffic Volume Estimation by Spatio-Temporal Inference

Duration: from 2009 Jan. 1 till 2012 June 30

Partners: Robotics Lab of Mines ParisTech, INRIA-RITS (ex IMARA) and INRIA-TAO

ynopsis: This project addressed the problem of modelling large scale complex systems to provide predictions of their macroscopic behaviour. For application purpose, we focus here on the particular problem of the real-time prediction of traffic conditions on a road network.

Role of Robotics Lab: Statistical analysis and datamining of road traffic at the scale of an agglomeration, for automated unveiling of spatial and temporal congestion patterns, as well as traffic evolution forecasting at large geographical scale (all roads and streets) and long timescale (end of day as a function of traffic observed in beginning of morning).
